Every custom commission begins as an intimate dialogue between your architecture and our studio. We work with raw steel, antique mouth-blown glass, and hand-milled lead came to craft luminous heirlooms made to endure for centuries.

PHASE 01 : DIALOGUE & PROPORTION

Size Selection & Careful Creation

Before metal meets heat, we study the path of sunlight across your space. We measure architectural apertures down to the millimeter, drafting full-scale cartoon patterns on heavy archival paper to calibrate scale, privacy, and jewel-tone saturation.

  • On-site lighting assessment and daylight orientation mapping

PHASE 02 : THE STRUCTURAL FORGE

Skilled Artisans Welding Steel

Substantial glass installations demand unbreakable structural bone. In our fabrication shop, heavy solid-bar steel is cut, ground, and TIG welded by hand. We finish each frame with hand-rubbed patinas that harmonize seamlessly with your surrounding architectural woodwork.

  • Solid cold-rolled steel sub-frames hand-welded to true plumb
  • Custom architectural tie bars engineered against wind deflection
  • Traditional blackened wax and gunmetal patina hand finishes

PHASE 03 : DIAMOND, LEAD & FLAME

Cutting, Shaping & Fusing Lead

Artisans score each sheet of cathedral glass by hand using diamond-wheel cutters, grozing raw edges for a snug fit. Strips of hand-drawn lead came weave between the glass facets, soldered at every single joint before being cemented with traditional linseed oil and whiting.

  • Hand-scored glass contours cut to sub-millimeter tolerances
  • Pure virgin lead came stretched and contoured to lock every shard
  • Solid copper foil and 60/40 solder fused at 700 degrees Fahrenheit

Each architectural commission travels in custom vibration-dampened timber crates with full transit insurance, followed by bespoke structural integration tailored to your residence.
